Numerous awards prove the success of this business from Rostock, including one from the DLG (German Agricultural Society).
Nordex has been developing and erecting wind turbines in Rostock for more than 15 years. The megawatt-plants and growing order books created the necessity for a spacious production hall in 1999. Rostock offered outstanding infrastructural conditions: Thus the manufacturer was able to take over the old diesel engine factory and the port facilitated the shipping of large parts. Two years later with the construction of the new rotor blade plant at GVZ (cargo transport centre), Nordex brought its entire production to one site. Most recently, the business has expanded and modernised its location in Rostock.
