Rostock is the economic centre of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania located conveniently at the centre point of the axes connecting Berlin - Copenhagen and Hamburg - Stettin.
How do you get here? There are several ways to reach our city: take the motorway A 19 Berlin-Rostock or the A 20, the Baltic-Sea-motorway Lübeck-Stettin. You can reach Rostock in only 2 hours of comfortable travel. Since October 2003, Rostock is the only city in northern Germany with an uninterrupted beltway. The Warnow Tunnel, the first-ever privately financed transportation project in Germany (public-private partnership) connects the sections of the city on the east and west sides of the Warnow River and shows the high degree of innovation that characterizes this city. You can also reach Rostock by train, with a direct connection from Hamburg or Berlin arriving at the completely modernized main station, the Hauptbahnhof.

The airport Rostock-Laage offers daily domestic flight connections to Munich and Cologne as well as international connections.
