In Rostock, you’ll find ideal conditions for your business - a hub for business activities towards Central Europe, Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic States. Rostock has a rich tradition as a port and university city and is among Germany’s prime locations for the fields of maritime technology, biotechnology and medical technology, tourism and healthcare. A core of research and integrated in numerous international networks, Rostock also has a qualified and motivated workforce at hand. We welcome you to add to Rostock’s strength and success.

The boom region Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and especially the Hanseatic City of Rostock, is rapidly gaining in economic importance. According to a 2008 study by Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft and the magazine Wirtschaftswoche, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is ranked as the second-most dynamic economic region nationwide, topped only by Hamburg. The economic growth experienced in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the first half-year 2007 – 4 % – was the strongest in all of Germany.

Since 2004 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s rate of unemployment has fallen at a rate unmatched by any other area in Germany.

Still debating? Why not take a drive to Rostock-Warnemünde. If you’d like to take advantage of all of the attractive features of this region, with the added benefit of idyllic white sandy beaches and healthy Baltic Sea air, say yes to Rostock.
