The company Rottach, a manufacturer of sheet metal with 70 employees, is planning to open a production facility in Rostock for the production of steel components to be used in the construction of port and ship cranes. The mayor of Rostock, Roland Methling, gladly welcomes the settlement of a supplier of materials to the renowned manufacturer of cranes directly in Rostock. Rottach plans to begin production in Autumn of this year. “This reinforces Rostock’s importance as a location for production adding a high degree of value”, comments Mayor Methling. Initially, the company will provide 7-9 jobs at their site in the vicinity of the port. Rostock Business has been supporting Rottach in the process of establishing the facility in Rostock since the end of last year.
