Rücker Aerospace GmbH, a subsidiary of Rücker AG with its headquarters in Wiesbaden, is investing in its Rostock location, creating 80 new jobs for engineers. As a supplier to the Airbus company, Rücker Aerospace GmbH currently employs 100 people at its Rostock location. A comprehensive master agreement with Airbus Deutschland for engineering services secures the future of the Rostock location and will create an additional 100 jobs for highly qualified candidates this year. Over 700 applications were reviewed by the Rostock Employment Office and around 80 candidates with a suitable background and qualifications were identified. The Employment Office is providing tailored training programs in collaboration with the training institute InBIT of Rostock and the state pension office in order to optimally prepare the new employees for the complex tasks at Rücker. This success is a result of numerous parties pulling together. Within only a few days, a training plan was developed together with the Ministry for Economy and Labour.

With five companies providing services for Airbus, Rostock is making a name for itself as a location for suppliers to the aviation industry. Michael Sturm, Managing Director of Rostock Business attributes this positive development in Rostock to the convenient infrastructural connection to Hamburg, qualified personnel and the enlargement of the Airbus product range. The potential for “service providers with ideas” in Rostock is by no means exhausted.
