The football club FC Hansa Rostock is one of the sporting highlights of the state, playing in the Bundesliga for many years now.
The home stadium of FC Hansa, newly rebuilt in 2002, is one of Europe’s most modern stadiums. The absolute football stadium with 30.000 covered seats, modern food and beverage facilities, fan merchandise stands and a family section draws thousands of football fans from Germany and abroad each year.
