pro.mara GmbH – innovative application developer establishes new office in Warnemünde Technology Center

pro.mara GmbH is a young, innovative company specializing in product and project development. Founded in Hamburg, the company opened its first branch office in Rostock in the Technology Center Rostock-Warnemünde at the beginning of April. Initially with a team of three employees, the company will focus on software development in transforming new ideas and concepts into market-ready solutions.

The manager of pro.mara GmbH, Dr. Raik Drews, explains that the advantages of Rostock – the support by local partners, the availability of qualified personnel, and the proximity of the University – were the deciding factors in the company’s move to open an office here. “Rostock provides excellent conditions for software development. It was a logical choice to open the development and competence center of pro.mara GmbH in my hometown, the Hanseatic City of Rostock”, comments Dr. Drews.

Rostock’s mayor, Roland Methling, attributes the establishment of innovative technology-oriented companies in Rostock to the positive development of the city. “pro.mara GmbH’s decision to locate in Rostock attests to the excellent conditions Rostock offers for recruiting highly-qualified employees for pioneering development projects”. pro.mara GmbH further expands the scope of innovative engineering companies recently settling in Rostock. The support of Rostock-Business and the flexibility of the Technology Center Warnemünde played a large role in pro.mara’s decision for Rostock. In particular, the excellent infrastructure and extensive networks of the Technology Center were of key importance. “With its aim to develop advanced software projects, the company pro.mara is a perfect fit in the modern landscape of the Technology Center”, remarks Petra Ludwig, Manager of the Technology Center Warnemünde.

pro.mara GmbH works in the field of information technologies, developing innovative projects based on embedded systems, distributed applications and internet technologies. The company plans to develop a pioneering product in Rostock from prototype to market.
