Rostock Business invites you to the 21st Business Meeting as part of the Hanse Sail this year!

With the annual Hanse Sail, the largest annual traditional sailing event in the world, the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock builds on Hanseatic traditions - natural connections at sea are strengthened on land in economic alliances. As the largest maritime event in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, numerous traditional and tall ships and many visitors are welcomed in Rostock for the 35th Hanse Sail in August 2025.

Together with the "Landesmarketing, der Hanse- und Universitätsstadt Rostock" and "Invest in M-V", we invite national and international decision-makers from business, research and politics to present Rostock and the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from their best side in a maritime flair and relaxed atmosphere.

Business meets Hanse Sail is the most important business meeting in north-eastern Germany during the Hanse Sail, the largest maritime sailing event and public festival in the country. More than hundred thousand visitors and hundreds of traditional sailing ships and museum ships as well as over a dozen participating countries have accepted the invitation of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock since 1990.

Traditionally, the Business Meeting is opened on Friday with an evening reception hosted by Rostock Business and the Mayor of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock. More than 400 guests from politics, business and administration from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Germany usually accept the invitation.

The Sail Brunch on Saturday morning take place in presence of the Minister President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Manuela Schwesig, as well as speakers from the business world. It is dedicated to the topic of “Green Energy, Hydrogen and the Maritime Economy”. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to network and talk to a wide range of entrepreneurs from various sectors. The Saturday afternoon will be rounded off with a breathtaking sailing trip on traditional sailing ships.
